  • Create an inventory of technology assets at each property with an evaluation of competitiveness and useful life
  • Create a multi-year strategic plan and vision for technology investments in client’s properties including the following objectives:
    • Ensure that each property will be using the correct level of technology to maximize revenues and provide optimal operating efficiencies
    • Identify future guest requirements for in-room and meeting room technologies required to remain competitive
    • Identify the probable capital requirements for technology investments
    • Provide a financial and risk analysis of all recommended technology investments
    • Provide a competitive analysis for all recommended technology investments
  • Evaluate the technology infrastructure of hotels being considered for purchase and the required investment to bring a hotel up to client or Brand standards.
  • Development of conceptual design, budgets and schematics for new hotel construction or existing hotel refurbishment
  • Review all requests by brand/management companies for technology investments for proper ROI, needs justification and strategic fit with client’s objectives. This is often required during a flag change at a property.
  • Verify that technology (including reservations) related charges from management companies are proper and beneficial to client
  • Maintain communications and relationships with the technology executives from the management companies, on behalf of the client, to be aware of their technology initiatives and present the owning company views on these initiatives
  • Select, implement, and maintain the optimum telecommunications and application infrastructure to allow client to collect financial and operational data from the properties, analyze this data, and produce management information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage requirements specifications, vendor selection, negotiations, and vendor performance for technology implementations undertaken at client offices or owned properties. Creation of Service level agreements where appropriate.
  • Definition of IT support requirements, Staffing guidelines, IT job descriptions and hiring support
